Frequently Asked Questions

How much do your services cost families?

In most cases, our placement services are provided at no cost to the families we serve. We are compensated by the community you choose once your loved one has successfully transitioned. This allows us to offer professional, high-level advocacy to families regardless of their budget.

Note: We also offer private-pay consulting for families who require specialized advocacy or long-term care planning outside of traditional placement.

Online “big box” referral sites are often just databases that sell your contact information to dozens of facilities. At Care Compass for Seniors, we are the opposite. We are local, boutique, and highly credentialed. Because I am a Licensed RCFE Administrator, I know how these buildings are run from the inside. I don’t just send you a list; I accompany you on tours, audit state records, and stay by your side until the move is complete.

Absolutely not. Our “Directional Integrity” value means our first priority is the senior. If a community is the best fit for your loved one but does not have a contract with us, we will still disclose it to you. Our CSA® ethics require us to put your family’s needs above all else.

CSA® (Certified Senior Advisor): This is a national designation for professionals who have completed rigorous training in the health, social, and financial aspects of aging. It means I am trained to look at your family’s situation holistically. RCFE Administrator: This is a state-licensed credential required to run an “assisted living” facility. It means I have mastered the laws, safety regulations, and care standards that these buildings must follow. I use this “insider” knowledge to vet facilities for you.

We specialize in “rapid navigation.” Because I am already familiar with the local inventory and vacancy rates, we can often narrow down your options in 24–48 hours. If your loved one is currently in a hospital or rehab and needs a “safe discharge,” we prioritize your case to ensure a seamless transition.

Not at all. A “Compass” is for planning, too. Many families contact us months in advance to build a roadmap for the future. We can help you identify the “Green Flags” now so that when the time is right, you can move with confidence rather than in a panic
